Helping children and parents navigate the digital world

Tanya is a very experienced public speaker and speaker for schools. She has been speaking in schools for over six years and at corporate and public events for more than 20 years.

She speaks to a wide range of audiences with particular focus on screens and children, internet addiction and dependency, digital detox, entrepreneurship and work:life balance.

As a speaker for schools she has spoken to staff and to junior and senior school pupils and their parents (both separately from their children and together). Tanya has spoken to children from ages 8 to 18 about their screen use. She very much enjoys being a speaker for schools at both ends of the school age spectrum.

Testimonials as a Speaker for Schools

“Tanya spoke to our Vth form and separately to the whole school parents. Her no-nonsense and sensible approach engaged the students and also empowered the parents with regards to the issues surrounding device use.  We have had excellent feedback and parents have stated that they feel significantly more confident with laying out clear boundaries at home.  In addition, it has helped the school evaluate our procedures with regards to screen time so that we can take positive steps forward.”

Deputy Head Pastoral, Hurstpierpoint College

“Tanya visited our school in October 2017, her presentation to parents was excellent. Tanya targeted the need to raise awareness of the effect social media has on young people today. Having statistics drawn from recent research had a positive impact and I’m certain the parents and staff came away with a wealth of knowledge that will help them manage their children’s use of ‘screen time’ in the future.

We will most certainly be welcoming Tanya back in to school so that she can speak to the children themselves and enhance our safeguarding and pastoral care.
